About the EAB Department

The Equity, Achievement, and Belonging (EAB) Department supports 911±¬ÁÏ’s efforts to transform the conditions contributing to equity gaps experienced by 911±¬ÁÏ students and families. The EAB Department supports initiatives and programs across the following areas:

• Universal Equity Programs: Support for district-wide equity-focused programming including Equity Teacher Leaders (ETLs), culturally and linguistically responsive and inclusive practices, and equity leadership practices.
• Targeted Equity Programs: Support for equity programs prioritizing identified focal populations (Black/African American students and Spanish-speaking Latinx students) to eliminate equity gaps they experience.

  • Superintendent’s African American Success Advisory Committee
  • ¡Adelante! Latinx Success Initiative & the Latinx Resolution
  • 911±¬ÁÏ Puente Program
• Office of Family Engagement and Equity (OFEE): Support for family and community engagement with a focus on addressing inequities experienced by 911±¬ÁÏ families.
• Diversity and Belonging: Support for lifting up the voices, histories, and experiences of marginalized populations, celebrating the diversity of the 911±¬ÁÏ community, and improving the sense of belonging and cultural affirmation of students with marginalized identities.
